Christopher Prange
Dentist

Dr Chris Prange is the practice owner at Caring Dental. He qualified from Sheffield University in 1996 and began his career working in Leicester for four years before moving to Petts Wood in 2000. Chris has worked in private general practice for 25 years, gaining experience in all aspects of general dentistry, including restoring implants and being a full provider of Invisalign.
Throughout his career, Chris has developed a particular passion for treating children and nervous patients. He strives to create a relaxed and confident atmosphere for young families, helping children reach adulthood without any fillings. Chris is known for his patient-centric approach, listening to and understanding patients’ needs and providing care that makes them feel completely at ease. He is devoted to offering personable and holistic care, taking into consideration each patient’s unique desires and goals.
Chris is extremely proud of the growth of Caring Dental, having watched the practice flourish since opening in 2020. He loves looking after such loyal and happy patients, and takes great pride in the friendly, dedicated and expert team he has assembled.
Outside his busy working life, Chris enjoys spending time with his family, going for occasional runs, and trying to resist takeout menus. Chris enjoys hosting the Caring Dental BBQ in his garden every year, bringing the team and their families together.

Natalie Morgan
Dentist

Dr Natalie Morgan graduated with Honours in Dentistry from King’s College London in 2009 and also holds a First Class Honours degree in Physiology from the same university (2006). She completed her postgraduate exams at the Royal College of Surgeons of England in 2011.
Natalie has worked in various hospital roles, including at the Eastman Dental Hospital, Queen Victoria Hospital in Sussex, and King’s College London Dental Hospital. She is a speciality dentist in oral surgery and is also an expert Invisalign provider.
Natalie is dedicated to helping patients improve their oral health. She believes in clear communication, listening carefully to patients’ concerns and taking time to explain procedures. She has recently volunteered for the Dentaid Charity mobile dental unit, providing dentistry to vulnerable people including those experiencing homelessness.
Empathy is one of Natalie’s key strengths, and with her gentle approach she is great at engaging people and building rapport. She has a wonderful ability to help anxious patients feel relaxed and cared for, and also enjoys treating children. In recent years she has helped to run education sessions at a local school to help teach children about the benefits of healthy diets and improved oral hygiene.
Outside of work, Natalie enjoys fitness activities like HIIT and Pilates. She also loves baking and spending time with her two young children.

James Dodd
Dentist

Dr James Dodd qualified from King’s College Dental School in 1999, starting his career in Maidstone. In 2004, he moved to Petts Wood, where he worked alongside Chris Prange for 17 years. In 2012, James completed a postgraduate qualification in root canal treatment at the Eastman Dental Institute and managed the majority of in-house referrals for root canal treatments at his previous practice. He has returned more recently to the Eastman Dental Institute for another rigorous programme of study and passed with distinction a Diploma in Restorative Dentistry. He also holds a postgraduate certificate in Implant Dentistry.
This has made James a highly accomplished all-rounder, providing a wide spectrum of treatments from routine cases to comprehensive care, including extensive oral rehabilitation and reconstruction. This can be especially helpful for patients who have had a lot of dentistry over the years. He also has over a decade of experience using lasers to enhance restorative dentistry, particularly with fillings and crowns deep to the gum line.
James believes in offering patients care that is tailored not only to their dental needs but also their personal preferences. He endeavours to provide predictable treatments with a pragmatic approach, aiming for long-term success.
James is a family man, teaching his little ones to be enthusiastic mountain bikers. James has never won a triathlon, but has been on the podium three times, which he considers quite an achievement for a 40+ year-old dentist with a sit-down job. He has also completed over 600 parachute jumps and flies wing-suits over the Kent countryside at the weekends when we get fair summer weather!

Linda Murtadha

Dr Linda Murtadha is a registered specialist in oral surgery who qualified from Barts and The London University in 2007. She divides her time between working at Guy’s Hospital in London and in private practice, providing surgical and implant treatment.
Linda holds a Diploma in Implant Dentistry from the Royal College of Surgeons and has considerable experience working in some of the busiest oral and maxillofacial surgery and oral surgery units in London. She has trained under some of the most recognised and respected consultants in these fields, with whom she continues to work part-time. At Guy’s Hospital, where she has worked for over 15 years, Linda teaches undergraduate and postgraduate dentists in oral surgery. She has also been a tutor for the Royal College of Surgeons Certificate in Oral Surgery programme and sits on the interview panel for Dental Core Trainees applying for hospital positions in London. Active in governance and research, Linda has published several papers in peer-reviewed journals and has presented her work at national and international conferences, winning awards on multiple occasions.
Linda has a keen eye for detail and spares no effort in providing the absolute best care for her patients. She was awarded a prize in the dental directorate at Guy’s Hospital titled ‘Above and Beyond’ for her exceptional work, as voted by her peers. Known for her ability to handle nervous patients with care and empathy, Linda is dedicated to making dental visits as comfortable as possible. She is down-to-earth and treats her patients like family, doing everything she can to put them at ease. Linda is also highly experienced in providing sedation for patients when needed.
Outside of her professional life, Linda loves spending time with her family and watching her two sons grow. She enjoys teaching them everything she knows and finds they keep her on her toes. Linda also loves painting and sculpting whenever she can.

Bizhan Shokouhi
Specialist Oral Surgeon

Dr Bizhan Shokouhi is a registered specialist in oral surgery who qualified from Barts and The London University in 2008. He divides his time between working at Guy’s Hospital in London and in private practice, providing surgical and implant treatment. He is also an honorary clinical lecturer for the Master’s programme in Dental Implantology at Bristol University and is one of the currently handful of College of Dentistry accredited implantology mentors in the UK.
Bizhan has a Master’s degree in Dental Implantology with distinction. He has completed an Advanced Surgical Master Curriculum in Regenerative Implant Dentistry. He uses the latest evidence-based techniques, equipment, and materials to achieve the best possible results. His training encompasses not only the surgical field but also includes aesthetic dentistry, sedation, and clinical hypnotherapy.
Bizhan is passionate about teaching and fulfils this role at Guy’s Hospital in oral surgery for both undergraduate and postgraduate dentists. He also teaches and mentors for the Dental Implantology MSc at Bristol University and supports colleagues in other practices who wish to learn more about dental implants. He is active in research, having published several papers in peer-reviewed journals and presented at national and international conferences, where he once won an award in the US.
Currently, Bizhan is a co-investigator and oral surgeon for a large clinical trial at Guy’s Hospital, researching the potential use of a new sedative drug in dentistry. This groundbreaking research is the first of its kind in the world.
Known for his calm and relaxing demeanour, Bizhan places special attention on being gentle, helping to put his patients at ease and quickly building mutual trust.
Outside of his professional life, Bizhan values a balanced lifestyle. He loves being a dad and spending time with his family. He is also enthusiastic about technology and enjoys playing the piano.

Charlotte Spedding

Dr Charlotte Spedding graduated from Guy’s Hospital (UMDS) in 1991 and worked full-time in general dental practice before undertaking her MSc in Periodontology at Guy’s, King’s, and St Thomas’, which she completed in 1996. Her postgraduate training continued until 2000, culminating in a Master’s in Clinical Dentistry in Periodontology with distinction at the GKT Dental Institute. In the same year, she achieved a Membership in Restorative Dentistry (Periodontology) from the Royal College of Surgeons of England.
Between 1996 and 2003, Charlotte worked as a clinical supervisor at Guy’s, King’s, and St Thomas’ Dental School, furthering her expertise in Periodontology and Implant Dentistry. She has been in private practice, limited to periodontology, since 2000, accepting referrals from both local and distant dentists.
Charlotte has extensive experience in the surgical placement and restoration of dental implants but now focuses her implant practice on the prevention and treatment of peri-implant diseases. Passionate about education, she actively participates in postgraduate training for dentists and hygienists. Her expertise has been featured in publications, including articles in the British Dental Journal in Practice.
Since 2009, Charlotte has served as Honorary Secretary of the Bromley and Beckenham Section of the British Dental Association, where she organizes regular educational meetings for local dentists.
As a Governor at Bromley High School, Charlotte mentors prospective dental students and hygienists, sharing her wealth of experience from over 30 years in dentistry. She is also a Trustee and Social Secretary of Penguins Against Cancer, a charity established in 2013 and affiliated with Guy’s Hospital Rugby Club Veterans. The charity supports cancer research, treatment, and hospices, having raised over £450,000 without any start-up or running costs – ensuring that every penny donated goes directly to the fight against cancer.

James Aquilina
Endodontist

Dr James Aquilina is a highly qualified Endodontist at Caring Dental. He graduated from Guy’s Hospital in 1992 with a BDS and completed a part-time MSc in Endodontics at Guy’s Hospital in 1999. Endodontics is the branch of dentistry that focuses on the treatment of the dental pulp and root canal systems to save natural teeth that might otherwise require extraction.
James is a member of several prestigious dental societies, including the British Dental Association (BDA), the British Endodontic Society, the European Society of Endodontology, and the American Association of Endodontists.
James began his career with House Officer postings in Children’s Dentistry and Oral Surgery before completing vocational training in general dentistry. He practiced mainly private dentistry in Berkshire before returning to London to specialise in endodontics. After completing his Master’s degree, James remained at Guy’s Hospital as a part-time staff member, teaching undergraduates, supervising postgraduate students, and treating patients. He provided an endodontic referral service in several practices during this period and was entered onto the General Dental Council’s Endodontic Specialist List in May 2012.
Since leaving Guy’s, James has expanded his specialist endodontic practices in Kent and Essex. He is committed to staying current with the latest advancements in endodontics and regularly attends courses and conferences in the UK and abroad. James has been an active member of the British Endodontic Society council, organising and supervising national courses and lectures in endodontics aimed at general dental practitioners. He is also the founder of several endodontic study clubs and has contributed as an author for Dental Insights and as a guest editor for Endodontic Practice.
James is passionate about providing the highest quality of care through a patient-centred approach, ensuring patients feel comfortable and well-informed throughout their treatment.
Outside of dentistry, James is a professional scuba diver with a passion for underwater photography. He supports marine conservation efforts, regularly donates blood, and enjoys spending time with his family. He is also fluent in Italian.

Christelle Snyman
Dental Hygienist

Christelle is an experienced and dedicated Dental Hygienist with years of expertise in the field. She qualified as a dental hygienist in 1999 from the University of Stellenbosch in South Africa. In 2001, Christelle moved to the UK and completed a one-year diploma conversion at Guy’s Dental Hospital in London.
Christelle is passionate about improving her patients’ self-confidence through effective dental treatments. She is focused on preventing gum disease and tooth decay, tailoring her approach to meet each patient’s unique needs. With many years of experience working at a specialist periodontal practice under a leading periodontist, Christelle excels in specific periodontal treatments, helping patients stabilise gum disease and maintain good oral health.
Christelle is committed to providing personalised care, ensuring that every patient feels comfortable and well-cared for.
Outside of work, Christelle loves spending time with her husband and two daughters. They enjoy outdoor activities together, such as cycling and walking.

Melissa Bado
Dental Hygienist-Therapist

Melissa is a dedicated Dental Hygiene Therapist at Caring Dental. She began her dental career as a Dental Nurse, qualifying in 2016. Driven by her passion for dental care, she continued her education and earned her Diploma in Dental Hygiene and Therapy from King’s College Hospital in 2019.
Melissa is particularly keen on treating periodontal disease and enjoys performing Root Surface Debridement. She also likes using Airflow, a gentle cleaning system used in dental treatments, including Guided Biofilm Therapy. It sprays a fine mix of air, water, and a special cleaning powder to remove plaque, stains, and bacteria from your teeth and gums. It’s comfortable, effective, and less abrasive than traditional methods, making it ideal for sensitive teeth, braces, or implants.
Melissa takes pride in treating anxious patients and finds it rewarding to see them grow more comfortable with each visit. Melissa is very gentle, especially with anxious patients, and takes a slower approach until they feel comfortable.
Outside of work, Melissa enjoys spending time with her two young children and the family’s adopted cat!

Diana Minto
Dental Hygienist-Therapist

Diana is a dedicated Dental Hygienist and Therapist at Caring Dental. She graduated in Dental Hygiene & Therapy from the University of Sheffield in 2007. Diana’s educational background includes a BDS in Dentistry from the National Autonomous University of Mexico; language studies at McGill University, Montreal; a Diploma in Cambridge Business Skills from Bromley College; and a course in Homeopathic Principles from the Yorkshire School of Homeopathy. She is currently enrolled on a Postgraduate Diploma in Restorative & Cosmetic Dentistry.
Diana’s aim is to provide the highest possible care by tailoring treatment to each individual’s needs. She believes in empowering patients with the tools they need to take control of their own oral health. Diana enjoys getting to know her patients and listening to their concerns, whether they are dental or non-dental related, to ensure they feel heard.
Diana is fluent in English and Spanish, and enjoys travelling, playing tennis, and walking in the woods with her dogs.

Helen Spencer

Helen began her career training as a Dental Nurse in 2005 at the Eastman Dental Hospital. She furthered her education by undertaking training as a Dental Hygienist and Therapist, qualifying with distinction from The Eastman Dental Institute in 2009. Helen worked in the Paediatric Department at the Royal London Hospital for 10 years, treating special needs and phobic patients using inhalation sedation. Throughout her career, she has worked at several specialist practices, including those on Wimpole and Harley Street, treating advanced periodontal cases.
In 2013, Helen won the Dental Care Professional Poster Prize at the BSPD International Conference and has had her audit published in the British Society of Paediatric Dentistry Journal.
Helen has a particular interest in treating children and is known for her gentle and caring approach, making her especially skilled at working with young patients. Helen enjoys meeting new patients and building a rapport with them. She is chatty, approachable, and friendly, taking pride in seeing patients return time and time again, growing in confidence and noticing visible improvements in their oral health.
Outside of work, Helen enjoys spending time outdoors with her young family. She loves engaging in creative activities and has also had a children’s book published.

Georgia White is a friendly and dedicated Dental Hygienist-Therapist who qualified from King’s College London. She has a strong interest in preventative dentistry and is passionate about helping patients achieve and maintain excellent oral health. Georgia particularly enjoys working closely with patients to develop tailored and effective oral hygiene routines, as she believes this is where the greatest long-term improvements are made.
Her approach to patient care is gentle, calm, and focused on minimising anxiety and discomfort. Education plays a central role in her appointments, with a strong emphasis on practical, achievable advice that patients can confidently follow at home.
Georgia is particularly attentive to nervous patients, taking time to listen to concerns and adjusting her treatment pace. Outside of work, Georgia enjoys lifting weights at the gym, hiking, and playing video games. She is also an animal lover and has a dog named Xena, as well as pet lizards and fish.

Rajvi Patel

Joy Peng

With extensive experience working alongside specialist dentists, Joy tailors and personalises oral hygiene advice to complement your treatment plan, ensuring the best possible outcomes. She is dedicated to providing exceptional patient care and creating a calm, relaxed environment to put you at ease during your visits.
Joy is an active member of the British Society of Dental Hygiene & Therapy and the British Association of Dental Therapists. She regularly attends professional development courses to stay at the forefront of the latest advancements and techniques in her field.
Outside of work, Joy enjoys going to the theatre, practising Pilates, and spending time with her baby boy.

Heather Lavelle

Heather began her career as a dental nurse, gaining valuable experience in dental procedures and patient care. She holds a Diploma in Dental Nursing and a Certificate in Dental Sedation Nursing, providing her with a strong foundation for her transition into practice management.
As Practice Manager, Heather ensures that Caring Dental operates smoothly and efficiently, enabling the dental team to deliver the highest standard of care. She is highly skilled in dental practice management software, helping the practice stay ahead with innovative technology and streamlined processes.
Heather is deeply committed to patient satisfaction and plays a key role in communication and welfare. She ensures every patient feels valued and has a positive experience from start to finish, supporting the practice’s mission of exceptional care.
Outside of work, Heather enjoys reading, listening to audiobooks, and staying active with squash and tennis.

Sarah Prange
Receptionist
Sarah holds a degree in Biochemistry and Physiology from Sheffield University. She plays a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of the practice. In addition to managing the reception area and welcoming patients, she also ensures the practice is kept clean and assists with finance and accounts.
Outside of work, Sarah enjoys spending time with her family and supporting Chris in his role as practice principal.
Sarah is a vital part of the Caring Dental team, bringing her dedication, organisational skills and friendly demeanour to the practice every day.

Alison MacOwan
Receptionist
Alison is a friendly and knowledgeable receptionist at Caring Dental. With her warm personality and helpful attitude, she ensures every patient feels welcome from the moment they step into the practice.
Alison is our go-to expert for all things Denplan. She is highly experienced in explaining the benefits of Denplan membership, assisting patients with joining the plan, and answering any questions.
Alison plays a vital role in keeping the practice organised and running smoothly. Each morning, she ensures the surgeries are prepared for the day by distributing patient schedules and appointment details to the dental team. She also manages lab work meticulously, coordinating with dental labs to ensure items such as crowns, dentures, or retainers are ready in time for patients’ appointments.
Outside of work, Alison is a keen runner and enjoys staying active.

Rebecca Antony
Head Dental Nurse

Rebecca holds a Diploma in Dental Nursing and we are proud to have her as our Head Dental Nurse.
Rebecca oversees sterilisation procedures, manages infection control protocols and ensures practice compliance with health regulations. She communicates with the dental nurse team, ensuring everyone is well-informed and coordinated.
Rebecca is especially skilled at making our youngest patients feel at ease during their first visits, always rewarding them with a sticker for being so good! She has also done multiple oral health education talks at our local primary school.
Outside of work, Rebecca enjoys cooking and travelling, especially watching sunsets from great viewpoints.

Tatjana Jasiune
Dental Nurse

Tatjana is an experienced dental nurse who has been qualified for over ten years. She holds a Diploma in Dental Nursing and a Certificate in Dental Sedation Nursing. She works part-time at Caring Dental, assisting our oral surgeons.
Tatjana excels at setting up the surgery for all surgical procedures, ensuring everything needed is perfectly arranged. She handles the sterilisation of numerous instruments with great efficiency and attention to detail, maintaining the highest standards of hygiene and organisation.
Tatjana is very attentive to patients throughout their appointment. Her calm and caring nature helps put patients at ease, ensuring they have a positive experience.
Tatjana is fluent in English and Lithuanian. Outside work she enjoys a busy family life, often taking her children to their various clubs and activities.

Katie Robinson

Katie started with us a few years ago as a trainee dental nurse and has successfully completed all her coursework and examinations to become a qualified dental nurse. She is currently taking a Dental Sedation Nursing course to gain another qualification. Katie is very good at ensuring that all the equipment the dentist will need is set out, contributing to the smooth and efficient running of the practice.
Katie is known for her friendly and chatty demeanour, making patients feel welcome and at ease.
Outside of work, Katie loves going to the gym, walking her cockapoo and talking to her family in New Zealand.

Natalie Wright

Paige Avery

Paige is an experienced dental nurse and plays a key role in ensuring seamless support during treatments, while nursing alongside Chris. She is dedicated to creating a calm and welcoming environment for patients, ensuring they feel at ease throughout their visit.
As a qualified dental nurse, Paige’s responsibilities include preparing the surgery, assisting with a variety of dental procedures, maintaining infection control standards, and supporting patients with care and advice before and after treatments. Her expertise and friendly approach make her a valued member of the team.
Outside of work, Paige enjoys walking her dog and spending quality time with her friends and family.

Eloise Deighton
Trainee Dental Nurse
Eloise is our trainee dental nurse. She is part way through ger two-year dental nursing college course to become a qualified dental nurse, where she’s learning all the essential skills and knowledge needed to support both patients and clinicians – from assisting during procedures and maintaining a sterile environment to understanding oral health care and patient communication.
Eloise brings a sunny, positive energy to the practice every day. Her infectious laugh and upbeat attitude have already made her a hit with both staff and patients – she’s the one keeping the team smiling, even on the busiest days!
