Spread the cost of your dental care
With Denplan at Caring Dental, you can spread the cost of your dental care through affordable monthly payments, making it easier to maintain excellent oral health.
As the UK’s leading dental payment plan, Denplan (part of Simplyhealth) is trusted by over 1.4 million patients nationwide, offering a convenient alternative to ‘pay-as-you-go’ private treatment.
Denplan Essentials for Adults
From just £19 a month, Denplan Essentials covers:
- Dental examination: regular check-ups help spot potential issues early.
- Hygienist appointment: professional cleaning to maintain healthy teeth and gums.
- X-rays: monitoring X-rays are usually taken every two years or whenever clinically necessary.
- 10% discount on additional treatments: save on treatments like fillings, crowns, and teeth whitening.
You can choose a plan that covers 2, 3, 4, or 6 routine visits per year to suit your needs, comprising any combination of dental examination and hygiene appointments. We recommend at least one of each per year. Your dentist will be happy to discuss the optimal plan for you.
Costs
- Two visits a year – £19 per month
- Three visits a year – £27 per month
- Four visits a year – £33.60 per month
- Six visits a year – £49.80 per month
Denplan for Children
These plans help spread the cost of children’s care and encourage good dental habits from a young age.
From £9.60 per month, Denplan for Children includes:
- Dental examination: essential for building early dental habits in a friendly, relaxed environment.
- Hygienist appointment: promotes a child-friendly introduction to dental care.
- X-rays: monitoring X-rays are usually taken every two years or whenever clinically necessary.
- 10% discount on additional treatments: applies to treatments such as fillings, fissure sealants (to protect young teeth from decay) and custom-made sports mouthguards.
Choose a plan to suit your child’s needs, including any combination of dental examinations and hygienist appointments. We recommend at least one of each per year, but feel free to discuss the best option for your child with their dentist.
Costs
- Two visits a year – £9.60 per month
- Three visits a year – £13.40 per month
- Four visits a year – £16 per month
Family discounts
- 2 adults on the same direct debit each receive a 5% discount.
- 3 adults each receive a 10% discount.
- 4 adults each receive a 15% discount.
Discount applied to your monthly fee.
Please note that family discounts do not apply to children’s plans.
Denplan Dental Emergency & Injury Cover
In addition to your Denplan payment plan, you can take out Denplan Dental Emergency & Injury Cover, provided by Simplyhealth Access for £0.60 per person per month.
- This policy gives you cover towards worldwide dental emergencies and dental injuries up to individual and annual limits.
- For full details of the insurance cover, limitations and exclusions, please refer to the terms and conditions on Denplan’s website.
- You can opt into Denplan Dental Emergency & Injury cover at the same time as setting up your Denplan payment plan or by logging in to MyDenplan. Alternatively, you can speak with a member of the reception team.

How to sign up for Denplan at Caring Dental
1. Discuss your options
- During your appointment, your dentist will discuss Denplan options with you and help you choose the best plan for your needs.
2. Join and save
- If you decide at your appointment that Denplan is right for you, we will include this as the first visit covered by your plan, so you start saving straight away!
Alternatively, if you are not ready to join yet, you can opt to pay separately for that visit.
3. What you’ll need
- Bank details: bring your bank details, as payments are debited directly from your account.
- Signatures: sign a couple of forms to authorise monthly payments and activate your plan.
4. Monthly payment schedule
- Payments are automatically debited from your account on the 1st of each month.

No problem!
If you would like to join Caring Dental, and you are already a Denplan patient at another practice, you can easily transfer your plan to us and enjoy all the same benefits, with no break in your cover. Denplan FAQs
Transfer your Denplan to Caring Dental in three simple steps:
STEP 1
Please visit Caring Dental or call 01689 664600 to let us know about your current plan, and the level of cover you would like to have. Our friendly team will advise you about fees and appointments, and discuss your preferred start date for your new plan with us.
STEP 2
Next, please contact Denplan on 0800 401 402 (Monday to Friday, 9am–5pm) and inform them that you would like to cancel your current plan because you are joining another Denplan dentist (Caring Dental).
STEP 3
Once you have done this, please call our reception team on 01689 664600, or pop into the practice, to complete your new Denplan registration with Caring Dental. It’s simple to do and will only take a few minutes. We will also be able to book your first appointments and answer any questions you have.
Your current plan would end on the last day of the month you have agreed with Denplan (please note that they require 21 days’ notice), and your new plan with Caring Dental will begin the following day, ensuring that you have continuous cover. We look forward to welcoming you to Caring Dental!
If you have a dental injury and lose a tooth as the result of this, your dentist may not be able to restore your teeth using the treatments covered by your current plan. However, if you have Denplan Dental Emergency & Injury Cover, you can also apply for Denplan Implant Upgrade Cover. This provides cover if you lose a tooth due to an eligible* dental injury, and your dentist feels an implant is clinically necessary.

*An eligible injury is an injury to your teeth, gums, or dentures (while being worn) caused suddenly and unexpectedly by a direct hit or blow to the mouth.
