Here at Caring Dental we love being part of our local community, and nothing brings everyone together quite like the annual May Day celebrations on bank holiday Monday.
We have once again sponsored the Petts Wood May Fayre on Monday 6th May, with a stall at the Memorial Gardens where you can win prizes and meet some of our friendly practice team, including Dr Chris Prange.
The May Fayre is a wonderful chance for us to connect with patients and their families
Caring Dental is at the heart of Petts Wood and we love being part of the community. The May Fayre is just one of the local events we support where we get to meet our patients and other local residents, and give friendly advice about dental healthcare.
As well as our involvement with the Petts Wood May Fayre, we have also sponsored the Petts Wood 10k and Petts Wood Calling festival, helping to raise funds for local and national charities.

If you haven’t visited the dentist in a while, our friendly practice can help you get back in the habit. When visiting our stall, it’s a good chance to arrange a follow-up call or book an appointment. Our modern private practice is on Station Square, Petts Wood, and we are proud to serve patients from Petts Wood and the local area, including Orpington, Chislehurst, Bickley and Bromley.
Chris has been a dentist in Petts Wood for almost 25 years, and set up his own practice, Caring Dental, in 2021. He’s a big fan of the May Fayre and all it represents:

Take part in our free competition this May Day
Caring Dental loves being part of the fun during this event, and we are offering free entry to our competition to guess how many toothpaste tubes have been squeezed into a glass bowl.
Adults can win a hygienist appointment at Caring Dental worth over £100, while children can win a cute and cuddly Squishmallow toy (pictured below!).
All you need to do is write down your guess, along with your contact details, and whoever is correct or closest wins the prize. We will notify the winners after the event.
Caring Dental has also donated a prize for the May Fayre raffle – a Colgate Home Whitening treatment which includes a free full examination and X-rays at Caring Dental, worth over £450!
Our competition is just one way to get children interested in maintaining good dental care
It goes without saying that dental care is highly important at all ages and stages. At Caring Dental we are passionate about getting children into a healthy routine so they can enjoy a lifetime of good oral health. Chris says:
“It’s especially nice helping children learn about taking care of their teeth, and giving patients of all ages the confidence to book an appointment, especially if they are nervous or haven’t visited the dentist for a while.”
The May Fayre is a great opportunity for them to meet some of our dental team in a fun environment. If they would like, we can arrange a day for them to come into the practice on Station Square for a look around.
The May Fayre will have lots of stalls including local traders, food and drink, charities, community organisations and companies from the Petts Wood Business Association. You can also enjoy plenty of entertainment, including the parade, crowning of the May Queen, dancing and stage performances, and of course the fabulous family fun fair.
